Permatang Pauh, Penang, 16 May 2025 – Emerix Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. recently visited Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) for a student engagement session, strengthening the collaboration established under a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This initiative reflects Emerix’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s young engineering talents through industry-academia partnerships.

During the visit, Emerix Malaysia’s CEO, Mr. William Won Joon Lee, introduced the company’s role in the industry and shared valuable career insights with students from the Electronic Engineering programme. The session also included an interactive Q&A, where students asked about future career development and opportunities at Emerix.
Mr. Lee highlighted that students with a basic foundation in electronic engineering are welcome to apply for internship opportunities at Emerix Malaysia. He encouraged interested students to send their resumes to the Business Management team at hazixin@emerix.co.kr, emphasizing that the company is willing to provide practical training and guidance during the internship period.

“We are not only looking for skills, but also for commitment and attitude,” said Mr. Lee. “At Emerix, we believe in investing in our people. One of the co-founders at our Korean headquarters worked with me during the early days of the company, even going nearly two years without a salary while we used our savings to develop the business. Ten years later, he is now our C.T.O.——Chief Technology Officer. So, when you ask how your career can change in 10 years – start by showing loyalty, and the company will repay that loyalty many times over.”
Mr. Lee also shared his candid observations on job-hopping trends seen in resumes submitted to the company. “No offence,” he noted, “but many resumes we receive show short stints—2 to 3 months at multiple companies within a year. In Korea, we don’t even consider that experience. Over 90% of our staff at headquarters have worked with us for 8 to 10 years.”

The session was well-received by students, sparking meaningful conversations about career paths, work culture, and long-term growth in the tech industry.
Emerix Malaysia would like to thank UiTM for their warm hospitality and continued partnership. We look forward to building more bridges between the academic and corporate worlds, and to empowering future engineers with knowledge, opportunity, and inspiration.
